Aya Zhang is a music educator and songwriter who began writing commercial children’s songs in 2009. Drawing from her academic training in music education, she has developed a strong voice as a professional songwriter, creating over 30 original works that have been widely performed and recorded across China. Her songs have also been featured on a variety of media and streaming platforms. Her music spans pop, classical, rock, jazz and musical theatre. Several of her songs have received national composition awards in recognition of their artistic merit and popularity among young audiences.
